Sightseeing attractions:
Östa: Situated just outside the southern parts of the park. Here you have parking space, boat ramp, shelters and fire places. There are also several nature tracks and a bird tower.

Sevedskvarn: An entrance to the national park, close to the lower branch of river Dalälven, with its river archipelago. For visitors there are parking space, shelters, fire places and toilet, also two different nature tracks for walking, of whitch one is suitable for handicapped, approx. 300 metre, and one is approx. 1 kilometre (0,62 miles). From Sevedskvarn one can also walk to Gysinge, either along the river Dalälven on the north-east side of Mattön which is about 3 kilometre (1,86 miles) or follow the track upp the river, approx. 4,5 kilometre (2,79 miles).

Gysinge bruk: A repaired industrial community situated close to the rapids of river Dalälven. This area has an interesting cultural history, well preserved. Gysinge Wärdshus is a modern conferense hotel whith country shop, museum and smithy as complement. Plenty of room for cars and a nature track on Granön with picnic areas.

Watchtower: at Skekarsbo. Smaller bird towers are located just outside the park in Nordmyra and in Östa.

Elk/Moose
(Alces alces)

When an elk stands in the water near the shore, dining on the roots of water lilies, one might think that it is some sort of Swedish water buffalo as it splashes about in evident great pleasure. Otherwise, it keeps to the aspen woods; young aspen shoots are among its favourite foods.
